Bio

Curiosity, a genuine interest in others, and the courage to step out of my comfort zone are the keys to my creative nature. When I'm not creating online content, editing and proofreading manuscripts, or expanding my horizons, I work as a qualified Psychometrist with a Master's in Psychology. I spent my early adult years in the tourism and travel industry, including time at some of Southern Africa's top Luxury Game Lodges, where I even trained as a Wilderness Guide. Later, I pivoted to a role as a travel consultant, tailoring itineraries for both inbound and outbound travelers. I've also worked extensively as a photographer and have published several children's books. Born in South Africa and currently living in Cape Town, my love of travel is driven by a desire to visit new places and connect meaningfully with the people there. I adore local road trips and journeys to far-flung destinations equally, and I'm always planning my next adventure.

Travel background

I have traveled and worked extensively throughout Southern Africa, visiting 15 of the 16 Southern African countries. I have also had the opportunity to tour several Asian countries and explore parts of the Middle East. I’ve visited many cities across the European continent (including the U.K.) and have spent a significant amount of time in Australia. Oceania and North and South America have also been among my travel destinations, and while I have yet to visit Antarctica, it’s on my list!

Best travel experiences

I have been fortunate enough to have had many memorable experiences, each magical in their own way. One of my all-time favorites must be a surprise sunset dinner served on the red Kalahari dunes of Tswalu Desert Reserve. After dinner, a night drive revealed shy nocturnal creatures like bat-eared foxes and aardvarks, and the incredible evening ended with an unforgettable star-gazing opportunity beneath the magnificent African night skies.
