Here's all you need to know about Gatorland, one of the most fun theme parks in Orlando.

How much do Gatorland tickets cost?

There are single-day passes and special day packages that can be booked at Gatorland.

Single Day Pass

Adult (age 13 and over): US$36 per person
Child (age 3-12 years): US$25 per person
Infants (age 0-2 years): no charge
Seniors (over 60 years): US$34 per person on presentation of ID

The Gatorland Greater Gator Package

Adult (age 13 and over): US$45 per person
Child (age 3-12 years): US$35 per person
Infants (age 0-2 years): no charge
The Greater Gator Package includes your single-day admission, an Alligator ‘meet ‘n greet’, unlimited train rides on the Gatorland Express and Gator Chow, an opportunity to feed an alligator.

Wranglers Pick

If you already have a standard admission ticket and want to upgrade to the more inclusive package, you can do so on arrival at the park.

Upgrade cost: US$15 per person

Other Tours

You can also book a 1.5 hour Night-time Flashlight Tour through selected tour operators from US$25 per person.

Alternatively, go behind the scenes with a Gatorland animal trainer for a 2 hour interactive experience, after which you can explore the park at your leisure from US$130 per person over the age of 12. Under 12’s may not participate in this interactive activity.

Who is eligible for discounts?

If you book your Gatorland tickets online, you will receive a discount of US$3 per person.

Children up to the age of 2 can enter Gatorland for free. If you are over 60, you qulify for a US$5 discount on presentation of your ID or passport.

Gatorland does sometimes offer discounted rates to Florida residents and those serving in the US Military – these offers are advertised on their website.

What are the best Gatorland tours?

The Greater Gator package

This package deal combines your entrance fee with three of the parks most popular activities: an Alligator meet and greet, unlimited rides on the Gatorland Express train and an alligator feeding experience. You can also choose to add other activities to your day and pay for these on arrival at the park.

Night-time flashlight tour

On a 1.5 hour night-time tour of Gatorland, you will experience the unique atmosphere of the park after dark. Walk along the walkways to the sounds of alligators splashing underneath and hear the aviary birds settling down for the night.

If you are brave enough, your guide will give you an opportunity to toss some food to the hungry alligators waiting below the walkways.

Gatorland Interactive Tour with Animal trainer

Start your visit to Gatorland with a 2 hour interactive experience under the guidance of a Gatorland animal trainer. You will go behind the scenes to see how the trainers spend their day in the park.

After having the opportunity to handle some of the animals and learn more about their habits and behavior, you are able to spend the rest of the day enjoying the sights and attractions in the park.

You can book any of the other park activities if you would like to add even more excitement to your day.

Full Screamin’ Gator Zipline tour with Gatorland admission: This exciting combo package includes full-day admission to Gatorland plus a 2-hour zip line experience that begins with a safety briefing and ends with zip-lining high above the parks alligators and crocodiles.

Should you book your tickets in advance?

By booking your Gatorland tickets online, you will not only get your tickets at a discounted price, you will also skip the queues. If you book a combo package you will be able to take advantage of the special offers. Some activities can be booked in advance while others can be made and paid for at admissions on arrival.

What will you see?

As you can guess, Gatorland is home to alligators (and crocodiles) of all sizes. The 100 acre park is Florida’s leader in alligator safety and education and combines entertainment with learning more about these ancient reptiles. You may even see one of the rare white leucistic alligators that call the park home.

Gatorland is also home to an aviary, petting zoo, unique animal shows and activities including the Screamin’ Gator Zip Line and the Stompin’ Gator Off-road Adventure.

Shows at the park include the Gator Jumparoo Show, the educational but thrilling Alligators: Legends of the Swamp show and the Up-close Encounters show.

Kids of all ages will be able to cool off at the Gator Gully Splash Park, and there is a choice of snacks and meals available at the park’s diner, snack bar, coffee shop and general store.

How to get there?

Gatorland is located in South Orlando, just off Highway 441. It is only a short 15-20 minute drive away from other top attractions like Walt Disney World and Sea World, and close to Orlando International Airport. When is the best time to visit Gatorland?

Gatorland is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. To avoid the crowds try and plan a mid-week morning visit. The park is located in a swampy wetland environment and it can get very hot and humid. October and November are typically the best months to visit the park as it is cooler and there is less chance of rain.

Shows and performances take place throughout the day though, so you will not miss out no matter what time you arrive.

Parking is free so arrive early.
Remember your ID to qualify for a Senior discount.
Wheelchairs, electric scooters and strollers can also be rented on site.
Bags and purses are subject to search, so rather leave your valuables at your hotel.
No cameras or short skirts are permitted on the Zipline activity.
